Renovations at Massachusetts Hall

Baker | Wohl Architects was engaged in 2012 to manage the renovation of Massachusetts Hall, the oldest extant building on the Harvard
campus, containing the offices of the President, Provost, and much of the senior leadership of the University.  Because of its age and administrative prominence, Massachusetts Hall was subject to significant University and Cambridge Historical Commission oversight and constraints.  The scope of work included envelope improvements, replacement of HVAC systems and installation of
fire protection systems, accessibility improvements, and interior space reconfigurations.   Some interior space
reconfigurations have been completed, but the major portion of the project was suspended in 2013 at the completion of Design Development, pending determination of the final project budget.
